AMHERST, Mass. -- Cody Lambert had a hat trick, and the Belchertown hockey team scored the game's last three goals in a 6-2 win over Mount Everett on Saturday at the Mullins Center.

The Orioles struck first with goals by Matthew Pacheco and Lambert in the first period.

They extended their lead to 3-0 in the second before the Eagles answered. Dylan Boomsma scored with help from Cooper Shepardson and Carly Duval to make it 3-1.

Mount Everett cut the deficit to one goal early in the third when Boomsma and Max Joyner set up Aidan Aloisi.

But Lambert answered to re-establish the two-goal margin, and Belchertown tacked on two more.

Jack Seward-Dailey made 26 saves for the Eagles, who were outshot, 32-20.

Mount Everett goes to Greenfield on Saturday.
