Mount Everett's Lupiani Places Second at Rhode Island Tourney

WESTERLY, R.I. -- Mount Everett’s Zach Lupiani earned three pins Saturday on his way to a second-place finish at the Chad Antoch Memorial Tournament.
 
The 126-pounder stopped opponents from New Bedford, Mass., and Johnston, R.I., to reach the semi-finals. There, he pinned Branford, Conn.’s, Josh Berndon at the 1 minute, 46 second mark.
 
In the finals, Coventry, R.I.’s, Aiden Robichaud recorded a third-period pin to claim the title.
 
At 220 pounds, Mount Everett’s Eduardo Rodriguez earned two pins on his way to a fourth-place finish.
 
The Eagles placed 10th in the 16-team field with 37 points. Coventry earned the team title with 199.5 points.
