WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Alexander Axt carded a 5-over-par 42 Monday on the front nine at Waubeeka Golf Links to earn medalist honors and lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 181-205 win over Mount Everett.

Axt finished one stroke ahead of Mount Everett's Cooper Rothvoss to take first place as an individual.

The difference came on the 453-yard, par-5 eighth hole, where Axt recorded the only birdie registered by either team on the day to go to 4-under for the round at that point.

Cayden Conry and Ben Prescott each finished at 46, and Owen Petropulos and Ben Dingman carded rounds of 47 to round out the scoring for the Mounties.

Joining Rothvoss (43) in the scoring column for the Eagles were Jack Seward-Daley (51), Kolby Bleau (54) and Jacob TenBroek (57).

Mount Greylock goes to Lee on Tuesday.
