Taconic Golfers Win Pair

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Nate Murphy carded a 40 on Friday at Berkshire Hills Country Club to earn medalist honors and lead the Taconic golf team to wins over Mount Everett and Monument Mountain in a tri-match.
 
Taconic finished 177 strokes to pick up the two wins. Monument Mountain edged Mount Everett, 187-188, in the other match.
 
Murphy was backed up by Seamus Hayes (43), Camdyn Mckill (45) and Andrew King (49) on a cold, windy day.
 
Monument got a 46 from Shea Hull, and four Spartans finished at 47: Curt Wilton, Bradley Danyluk and Ben Shultis.
 
Mount Everett's No. 6 golfer, Tucker Wilkinson, came home with the team's low round of 44. Cooper Rothvoss finished with a 46, and three Eagles finished at 49: Colby Stevens, Spencer Broderick and and Jack Seward-Daley.
 
On Tuesday, Monument Mountain hosts Lee and Pittsfield while Mount Everett goes to Williamstown to face Mount Greylock.
 
Taconic goes to Mount Everett on Wednesday.
