Taconic Boys, Girls Top Wahconah

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Scott Langlois and Ben Bradway each won a pair of events Wednesday to lead the Taconic boys swim team to a 78-41 win over Wahconah at the YMCA.
 
Taconic’s girls won their dual meet, 83-67, behind double winners Mia Zuccalo, Mia Bencivenga and Alissa Schinetti.
 
Bencivenga won the 200-meter freestyle in 2 minutes, 25.18 seconds. She took the 500 free in 5:04.03.
 
Schinetti won the 50 free in 32.33 and the 100 butterfly in 1:18.50.
 
Zuccalo touched first in the 200 individual medley (2:45.12) and the 100 breaststroke (1:23.56).
 
Taconic’s girls also got wins from Kaitlyn Milette in the 100 free (1:20.71).
 
Wahconah’s Elizabeth Wheeler won the 100 backstroke in 1:35.76, and her teammates won the 200 free relay.
 
For the Taconic boys, Langlois won the 200 IM in 2:51.94 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:24.57.
 
Bradway won the 100 fly (1:18.07) and the 100 back (1:21.10).
 
Wahconah’s Liam Looney, Aiden Aldrich, Wyatt Wellington and Evan Strout teamed up for a narrow win in the 200 free relay. Strout touched the wall in 2:15.30 to edge Taconic, which clocked a time of 2:16.34.
