WARE, Mass. – Brenna McNeice passed out 21 assists while posting a triple double as the Taconic volleyball team swept Ware on Friday night.

McNeice pulled up 10 digs and served 10 aces in the 25-20, 25-18, 25-23 win. She also served six straight points to close the match.

Thunder coach Lance Fyfe said inconsistent serving hampered the team and helped Ware stay close in each set.

“I was also looking for the fire on the court to remain on high in preparation for our back to back matches Monday and Tuesday versus Pittsfield and Monument Mountain, but the flame seemed to die down occasionally tonight,” Fyfe said. “PHS and Monument are both teams that we will need to be on top of our game if we want to continue to win in three straight sets. I'm not saying that we didn't play well, I just wanted more out of them than I saw tonight.”

Naomi Tayi had a team-high seven kills, and Natalia Dos Santos had 10 digs to go with seven serve receives, five aces and a pair of kills.

Ciana Bennett received 13 serves and pulled up nine digs, and Navaeh Williams finished with six kills.

Taconic (8-2) hosts the Generals on Monday night.
