Fields, Thunder Storm to Victories

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Jason Fields Monday carded a 1-under-par round of 35 to lead the Taconic golf team to a pair of wins over Monument Mountain and Mount Everett at Wyantenuck Country Club.

 

Fields earned three birdies. He birdied the par-5 fifth hole and then ended his day by breaking par on the par-5 eighth and par-4 10th.

 

Gavin Maffuccio and Ethan Bishop each finished at 39, and Charley Driscoll rounded out Taconic’s scoring with a 43 for an impressive team total of 154.

 

Monument Mountain was led by Liam Smith and Kasen Raifstanger, who each finished at 42 to highlight a team score of 181.

 

Mount Everett finished at 201 as a team. Johnny Ireland led the Eagles with a 47.

 

Taconic (5-3) hosts Lenox on Friday.

 

Monument Mountain is at Mount Greylock on Wednesday while the Eagles are at Hoosac Valley on Thursday.
