Hoosac Valley Golfers Edge Taconic

ADAMS, Mass. – Jace Langenback carded a 52 to provide the fifth score and give the Hoosac Valley golf team a tie-breaker win over Taconic after the teams ended up tied, 173-173, at Forest Park Country Club on Tuesday.

 

The Hurricanes’ Zach Mongeon earned medalist honors with a 36, and Chase George (42), Ethan Moran (45) and Luke Dix (50) backed him up to tie the Thunder.

 

Mongeon finished his round with a birdie on the ninth hole.

 

Taconic was led by Charley Driscoll with a round of 40 and Brodie McCormack with a 41. Driscoll’s day included a birdie on No. 2.

 

Taconic (3-8) hosts Monument Mountain on Thursday.

 

Hoosac Valley (3-6) hosts Pittsfield on Thursday
