Wahconah's Pudlo Competes at All-State Pentathlon

WESTFIELD, Mass. -- Wahconah's Jack Pudlo won the 1,500 meters at Thursday's pentathlon competition, which kicked off the MIAA All-State Track and Field Championships at Westfield State University.
 
Jordan Williams of Brockton won the five-event competition with 3,427 points, finishing 93 points ahead of Durfee's Cameron Rodgers.
 
In the 1,500, Pudlo ran a time of 4 minutes, 28 seconds to finish just ahead of Higham's Paul Wisnaskas (4:29.95), who placed third in the day's final standings with 3,292 points.
 
The 1,500 was Pudlo's only podium finish in the event, which also includes the shot put, high jump, long jump and 110-meter hurdles.
 
In the girls pentathlon, Mackenzie Condon of Marthas Vineyard won with 3,201 points. Pope Francis' Alexandra Gonet was second with 3,032, and South Hadley's Lindsay Marjanski placed fourth with 3,001.
 
The all-state meet continues and concludes on Saturday at Westfield State.
