DALTON, Mass. -- Dan Wilson carded a 2-over-par 37 on the front nine at Wahconah Country Club to lead the Wahconah golf team to a 165-174 win over Mount Everett on Wednesday.

Wilson finished strong with birdies on the seventh and ninth holes.

Patrick McLaughlin had back-to-back birdies on the fourth and fifth to card a 41 to back up Wilson.

Wahconah also scored rounds of 43 from Caden Frazier and 44 from Kristina Cusson.

“The Wahconah golf team changed gears today and played the front nine, resulting in much lower scoring from both teams,” Wahconah coach Peter Terpak said. “The first three home matches were played on the difficult back nine with a few different tee configurations. Today, we decided to see if our hard work on the back paid off by playing the ‘White Tees’ on the front side.”

Mount Everett was led by Colby Stevens with a 41, which included a birdie on the par-4 third hole. Cooper Rothvoss birdied the par-5 seventh en route to a 42. Spencer Broderick (44) and Jack Seward-Daley (47) rounded out the scoring for the Eagles.

Mount Everett hosts Pittsfield on Thursday. Wahconah (7-2) goes to Mount Everett on Tuesday.
