Wahconah Bowlers Roll Past Mount Everett

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- A trio of strong performances Thursday helped the Wahconah Blue bowling team post a 3-0 win in the Berkshire County High School Bowling League.
 
Cody Doyle and Alex White rolled the third- and fourth-best two-game series among all the boys at Ken’s Bowl, and Amber Wood posted the second-best girls series and fourth-best series overall to help Wahconah defeat Mount Everett.
 
Doyle (234-215--449) had the fourth-best game of the day on the boys side. Wood (220-202--422) had the third-best girls game.
 
The best game of the day and the best game of the season to date belonged to Lee’s Adam Dingman. He rolled a 279 and a 258 to lead the Wildcats in a 2-1 loss to Pittsfield. Pittsfield’s Colby Rooney (248-235--483) helped the Generals keep pace with the Wahconah Blue in second place with a record of 5-1 after two weeks of play.
 
Both Pittsfield and Wahconah sit behind Taconic, which came off a Week 1 bye and earned a 3-0 win over Mount Greylock. Mya Dhamel rolled a 364 series to lead Taconic, which overcame the Mounties’ Troy Michalak, who posted the day’s third-best game (256) and a 379 series.
 
McCann Tech earned a 2-1 win over the Wahconah Grey squad behind a big day by Aleasia Yeaton.
 
Yeaton rolled the day’s second-best game (278) and second-best series (486). She was backed up by teammate Madison Moon, who rolled a 188-143--331.
 
The league is off this week but returns to Ken’s on Jan. 3.
