White's 287 Highlights Wahconah's Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Wahconah's Alex White recorded the best game and best series of the season in the Berkshire County High School Bowling League in leading the Wahconah Blue to a 3-0 win on Friday at Ken's Bowl.
 
White was outstanding in his first game of the day, rolling a 259. But he was on another level in his second game, posting a 287 to record a 546 series.
 
Wahconah swept all three points from Mount Greylock, getting a 245 game and 416 series from Amber Wood.
 
The Mounties were led by Antoinette Dykes (180-190--370).
 
The win allowed the Wahconah Blue to move within a point of first-place Pittsfield in the team standings as the Generals came away with a 2-1 decision over Taconic.
 
But Wahconah (19-5) is done for the regular season and will have a bye in the final regular season contest this Friday at Ken's. Wahconah (17-4) and third-place Drury (16-5) will face one another in the final weekly meet before the positional round opens the post-season on Valentine's Day in Great Barrington.
 
The Generals Friday were led by Colby Rooney (258-175) and Cole Masiero (171-196--413).
 
Taconic got a 237 game and 424 series from Mya Duhamel.
 
Friday's other two matches were 3-0 decisions.
 
McCann Tech swept Drury, and Lee took down Mount Everett.
 
For the Hornets, Aleasia Yeaton recorded the day's top series among the girls (461). She was backed up by Jared Blondin (226-225--451).
 
Drury got a pair of 202s for a 404 high series from Michael Oakes. Justyn Cowell (403) and Kaitlyn Mongeon (401) were right behind for the Blue Devils.
 
Lee's Adam Dingman led the Wildcats with a 255 game and 465 series. Anthony Delsoldato rolled a 435 series and Bella Kotek finished with a 400 for Lee, beating her seaosn average in both her games.
 
Mount Everett was led by Tucker Wilkinson, who rolled a 180-167--367.
