NEW LEBANON, N.Y. -- Even in a virtual swim meet, there was drama on Wednesday as New Lebanon teammates Alex Sotek and Allison Slatter made school history in dramatic fashion.

The pair led the Tigers to a 101-55 win over Wahconah. The Wahconah boys, swimming at the Boys and Girls Club in Pittsfield, edged New Lebanon, 74-69.

The day's biggest drama was in the New Lebanon High pool.

Last week, Slatter broke Sotek's New Lebanon-Berlin record in the 500-yard freestyle. On Wednesday, Sotek returned the favor, winning in 5 minutes, 48.86 seconds.

In the process, Sotek shaved 10 seconds off the team mark. Slatter, meanwhile, lowered her personal record in the event by four seconds, touching in 5:54.20.

Sotek also won the 100 breaststroke (1:20.53). Slatter won the 200 free (2:15.02).

Sarah Kunzmann won the 100 backstroke for Wahconah in 1:23.43.

In the boys meet, Wahconah's Jacob Kunzmann won the 100 back in 1:07.79.
