Wahconah Girls Pick Up Nordic Ski Win

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Haley Crosier placed first Saturday to lead the Wahconah girls Nordic ski team to a 14-36 win over Mount Greylock.
 
Crosier crossed the finish line in 23 minutes, 34 seconds, more than a minute ahead of teammate and runner-up Quinn Walton (24:18).
 
Mount Greylock's Lainey Gill placed third in 24:23, just ahead of fourth-place Vienna Mahar of Hoosac Valley (24:25).
 
The next eight spots belonged to Wahconah, starting with fifth-place Jocelyn Sommers.
 
Mount Greylock's boys stayed undefeated on the season, led by a 1-2 finish from Gabe Gerry (18:51) and Cedric Lemaire (19:07).
 
Wahconah's boys were hot on their heels, finishing just four points behind the hosts.
 
Fritz Sanders (20:50), Aidan Garcia and Brennan Anderson placed third, fourth and fifth, resepctively.
 
Hoosac Valley's top finisher was David Scholz, who placed 10th in 22:45.
