PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Jacob Kunzmann placed first in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100 free to lead the Wahconah boys swimming team to an 88-65 win over New Lebanon in a virtual meet on Friday.

Kunzmann touched in 25.24 seconds in the 50 free and clocked a time of 57.01 in the 100. He also swam on Wahconah’s victorious 200 medley relay and 200 free relay quartets.

Zach Archambault, Liam Looney and Evan Strout each picked up a win in the 200 individual medley (2:40.75), 100 butterfly (1:28.84) and 100 backstroke (1:23.92), respectively.

“In only COVID form the New Lebanon-Berlin team did not actually swim today,” New Lebanon coach Tim Christiansen noted. “We used our times from a previous meet to go against Wahconah.”

The Tigers won the girls meet, 124-48, behind double-winner Alex Sotek, who won the 200 IM in 2:24.43 and the 100 fly in 1:07.49.
