WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Patrick McLaughlin birdied the last two holes Friday to card an even-par 36, taking medalist honors and lead the Wahconah golf team to a 167-172 win over Mount Greylock in a three-way match with McCann Tech at Waubeeka Golf Links.

Mounties Owen Petropulos and Alexander Axt tied for second with rounds of 40 on the front nine.

Mount Greylock and Wahconah combined for five birdies on the day.

Kevin Esko birdied the par-3 third hole.

Axt carded a four on the par-5 eighth, and Cameron Turner birdied the par-4 sixth.

“Wahconah has one of the lowest visitors’ scores in the past few years at Waubeeka,” Mount Greylock coach Mitchell Spooner said. “The front 9 at Waubeeka Golf Links is not easy to shoot par on and you usually have to birdie a few holes in the second half of the nine like McLaughlin did. He had an excellent close out of the front.

“Greylock and Wahconah are both deep teams where on any given day you aren’t sure who the top four will be each week.”

Team scores:
Wahconah (167) Patrick McLaughlin 36, Tim Kaley 41, Sam McLaughlin 44, Brady Breitmaier 46.
Mount Greylock (172) Owen Petropulos 40, Alexander Axt 40, Ben Dingman 45, Cameron Turner 47.
McCann Tech (250) Owen Vareschi 56, Keegan Scott 64, Joe Roy 64, Haley Bourdon 66.
