Strong Serving Powers Wahconah Past Mohawk Trail

DALTON, Mass. -- Ava Rose and McKenzie LaBier each had four kills Friday to lead the Wahconah volleyball team to a three-set win over Mohawk Trail.
 
Olivia Wehner served six aces and pulled up eight digs in the 25-14, 25-19, 25-18 win.
 
"We had a great serving night, featuring long runs by Olivia Wehner and Sasha Fyfe," Wahconah coach Dave Lussier said.
 
LaBier had four aces, and Jenna Bird recorded eight assists and six digs.
 
Wahconah (8-3) is at Greefield on Tuesday and comes home on Thursday to host the Green Wave in the first varsity sporting event in the gymnasium at the new Wahconah High School.
