Wahconah Girls Swimming Earns Tie at Taconic Hills

CRARYVILLE, N.Y. -- Abigail Cobb and Ella Reardon each won an event Thursday to help the Wahconah girls swim team open the season with a 66-66 tie at Taconic Hills.
 
In the boys meet, Wahconah swam to a 60-8 win over a host school with just one competitor in the pool.
 
Cobb picked up Wahconah's first individual win of the season in the 50-yard freestyle, where she placed first in 35.44 seconds.
 
Reardon took first in the 100 free in 1:09.15.
 
Cobb also swam a leg on Wahconah's 4-by-100 relay quartet, which finished the meet by picking up the eight points its team needed for the tie.
 
Sheffield Drewry, Elizabeth Wheeler, Cobb and Emily Therrien teamed up to finish in 5:56.88.
 
Raoule Khaye clocked times of 3:26.01 in the individual medley and 8:33.78 in the 500 freestyle to earn his team first-place points. Aiden Aldrich won the 200 free in 3:21.38.
