Lenox Girls, Wahconah Boys Victorious in GS

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Lenox girls ski team outdid itself on Monday at Bousquet Mountain.
 
A week ago, the Millionaires took the top spots in the Berkshire County High School Alpine League race.
 
This week, they took the top three.
 
Madison DiGrigoli again led the way, crossing the finish line in 39.26 seconds on the giant slalom course.
 
Molly Knight and Gabriella Hall were not far behind her to give Lenox a decisive team win.
 
In the boys meet, Mitchell and Dominic Scalise finished 2-3 to lead Wahconah to a first-place team finish.
 
Charlie Heimann of Pittsfield was the fastest boy, finishing in 37.28. Scalise was less than a second off his pace, hitting the line in 37.82.
 
Wahconah had four racers in the top 10 with Vincent Scalise and Alex Sternerup finishing in sixth and seventh, respectively.
 
Monument Mountain placed second in the team standings behind a fifth-place finish by Kitson Stover.
 
Oliver Kirby of Lenox was eighth as an individual to lead the Millionaires to a third-place finish. Heimann’s Generals were fourth, and Taconic’s Keehgen Scott placed fourth, but his team ended up fifth.
 
The girls team runner-up on Monday was Monument Mountain, which earned the next three individual places behind Lenox’s Hall. Abbey Boyd led the Spartans, finishing fourth.
 
The next three fastest times belonged to third-place Pittsfield, whose Grace Ungewitter finished seventh.
 
Taconic’s and Wahconah’s girls placed fourth and fifth.
 
Taconic was led by Reagan Miller, who placed 14th among individuals. Ella Scalise led Wahconah with a 10th-place finish.
