DALTON, Mass. – The Wahconah golf team Wednesday scored four players at 40 or under to earn a 153-172 win over Lenox on the front nine at Wachonah Country Club.

Pat McLaughlin earned medalist honors with a 1-over-par 36.

Tim Kaley birdied the second and seventh holes on his way to a 37.

Easton Anello and Sam McLaughlin finished at 40, each recording a birdie on holes No. 6 and 7, respectively.

“We played our black tees today to stretch out the course a bit,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “Pat and Timmy had no problems with the length and thrived.

“I was also impressed with eighth-grader Easton Anello shooting 40 and giving a few shots away on the closing holes. Same goes for freshman Sam McLaughlin’s 40 after also giving some shots away late. Very impressive from these two youngsters.”

Wahconah’s Vincent Scalise just missed out on scoring, but did get birdies on No. 1 and No. 5 on his way to a 41.

Lenox was led by Cliff Flynn with a 3-over round of 38 that included a birdie on No. 6.

Noah Kirby (44), Brady DiGrigoli (44) and Devon Patel (46) rounded out the scoring for the Millionaires.

Wahconah goes to Monument Mountain on Monday.

Lenox hosts Taconic on Friday.
