Wahconah Boys Dominate at Home

DALTON, Mass. – The Wahconah boys cross country team Wednesday took the top six places in a three-team meet on its home course to pick up a pair of dual meet wins.
 
Riley Gladu crossed the finish line first in 17 minutes, 55.20 seconds, about five seconds ahead of teammate Cadighan Gladu.
 
Fritz Sanders, Aidan Garcia and Lucas Wildrick rounded out the scoring for the hosts.
 
The first non-Wahconah boy across the line was Mount Everett’s Ben Vella (19:05.10) in seventh. Pittsfield’s Asa Chard (19:09.15) was eighth and helped the Generals edge the Eagles for a dual meet win.
 
In the girls race, Pittsfield picked up dual wins over Wahconah and Mount Everett behind the 1-2 finishes of Kellie Harrington (19:55.96) and Grace Ungewitter.
 
Hoosac Valley’s Hannah Walsh placed third as an individual and led the Hurricanes to a dual win over Mount Everett.
 
Wahconah also topped the Eagles. Natylee Martin and Megan Tucker led the way for the hosts in fourth and fifth places, respectively.
 
Mount Everett’s McKenzie Lotz placed sixth.
