DALTON, Mass. -- Pat McLaughlin fired an even par round of 36 on the back nine at Wahconah Country Club Friday to lead Wahconah to a 164-197 win over Taconic.

McLaughlin birdied the 12th hole in posting the low round of the day.

Teammate Tim Kaley birdied two holes, No. 11 and No. 18, to back him up with a 38.

"We played the difficult back nine today, and it didn't phase Pat and Timmy one bit," Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. "Patrick McLaughlin earned medalist honors with an even par round, and, to be honest, I didn't think he had his best stuff today.

"That's what very good players do. They simply find a way."

Wahconah also scored rounds from Tommy Dunham (44) and Easton Anello (46), who had a birdie on No. 13.

Taconic was led by Jackson Molleur with a 45 and Camdyn McKillop with a 46. The Thunder also scored rounds from Mitchell Hall (53) and Cam Laferriere (53).

Wahconah goes to Greenock on Monday to play Lee.
