DALTON, Mass. – Wahconah’s Sam McLaughlin shared medalist honors, and teammate Devin Colombari provided a key round of 44 Wednesday in a 164-175 win over Taconic.

“It was a very close match until the closing groups came in,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak said. “Rookie Devin Colombari pulled the Warriors ahead and closed out the match, shooting 44 with a birdie on No. 8.

“Very happy to see Devin come through for our team late in a match like that.”

McLaughlin birdied No. 5 and No. 7 on his way to a 38 that tied him with Taconic’s Justin Fields, who also birdied No. 7.

Kesler Anello and Logan Aitken also scored for Wahconah.

Gavin Maffuccio and Ethan Bishop backed up Fields with rounds of 42 and 43, respectively.

The Thunder (5-4) hosts Lenox on Friday.

Wahconah (6-1) hosts Hoosac Valley on Friday.

“The scores were a bit high because the tees were stretched out a bit,” Terpack said. “It was  nice to see the boys rebound after a miserable outing against Greylock on Friday.”

Wahconah (164): Sam McLaughlin 38; Kesler Anello 40; Logan Aitken 42; Devin Colombari 44; Joe Hoffman 50; Caleb Colombari 53.

Taconic (175): Jason Fields 38; Gavin Maffuccio 42; Ethan Bishop 43; Brodi McCormick 52; Matthew Keegan 52; Will Barber 53.
