Wahconah's Sancho Makes Western Mass Cut

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Wahconah’s Artois Sancho Monday qualified for the Western Massachusetts Championships in the 50-meter freestyle in a meet at the Berkshire Family YMCA.

 

Sancho touched second in a time of 27.84, beating the qualifying time by .11 seconds, in a dual meet against Mount Anthony.

 

The Patriots won the boys and girls meets.

 

For Mount Anthony’s boys, Braeden McManus won the 50 free and 100 butterfly, and James Tock won the 200 individual medley and 100 breaststroke to lead their team to a 96-69 win.

 

Kalen Spratt earned a win for Wahconah, taking the 100 freestyle.

 

In the girls meet, Wahconah’s Emily Capogna won the 100 breaststroke and Victoria Lattizzori won the 200 IM.

 

But Mount Anthony took a 102-68 dual meet win. .
