Wahconah Boys, Mount Greylock Girls Victorious

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Wahconah’s Beau Sanders and Mount Greylock’s Lauren Miller Wednesday led their teams to victory in a 6.2-kilometer classical race.

 

Sanders edged Mohawk Trail’s Augustus Niswonger by six seconds to win the boys race.

 

Wahconah edged host Mount Greylock by just two points behind top 10 finishes from Sanders, Chaz Mahar and Owen Tucker.

 

Patrick Holland and Andrew Holland finished third and fourth, respectively, for the second-place Mounties.

 

The Mount Greylock girls finished with a commanding 14-point finish over runner-up Mohawk Trail.

 

And Miller and Bridget Holland finished 1-2 for the Mounties as individuals. Miller covered the course in 26 minutes, 8 seconds, 45 seconds ahead of her Mount Greylock teammate. Holland beat Mohawk Trail’s Ada Comer by one second for second place.

 

Lenox’s girls placed third behind Jame Elliot, Lila Kousch and Catherine Welch, who finished ninth, 10th and 11th, respectively.
