Wahconah Boys, Girls Earn Pair of Wins in Home Finale

DALTON, Mass. – Cooper Calvert won three events Friday to lead the Wahconah boys track and field team to dual meet wins over Hoosac Valley and Monument Mountain.

 

Calvert won all three jumps, raising his Berkshire County season standard in the high jump to 6 feet, 7.25 inches in the process.

 

Kalen Spratt swept the hurdles for Wahconah.

 

Quincy Teigen doubled in the 100 meters and the 200 for Monument Mountain’s boys, who defeated Hoosac Valley.

 

Wahconah’s girls took two wins on their home track behind Sage Whitney, who won the 100 hurdles and the long jump.

 

Hoosac Valley’s Libby Kurley had the performance of the meet on the girls side. The sprinter won the 100, 200 and 400.
