PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Gabe Gerry won at No. 1 singles, and the Mount Greylock boys swept the doubles to earn a 3-2 win over Pittsfield on Friday afternoon.

"Gabe Gerry found opportunities to attack and played his best match of the season so far,” Mounties coach Blair Dils said after the senior’s 6-1, 6-2 win over Andrew King.

Pittsfield picked up a point at second singles, where Hunter Golin topped Ryan Keating, 6-2, 6-3, and the Mounties defaulted at No. 3 singles.

At second doubles, Josh Rudin and Drew Scanlon picked up their first win of the season, a 6-0, 6-1 win over the tandem of Emmett Krantz and Cloey Parlapiano.

And at No. 1 doubles, Mount Greylock’s Altan McIntosh and Troy Michalak outlasted Gary Zheng and Noah Krantz, 7-6 (7-4), 6-7 (7-5), 6-0.

"Troy and Altan certainly made it interesting after being up 5-1 and losing the second set, but they played much more aggressively in the third set and got us the winning point,” Dils said.
