Solid Team Effort For Mounties in Home Win
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Jacob Hillman carded a 3-over-par 39 on the front nine at Waubeeka Golf Links Thursday to earn medalist honors and lead the Mount Greylock golf team to a 165-191 win over Taconic.
Will Svluga finished at 40 as the Mounties placed six players at 47 or lower.
“Today we finally broke through,” Mount Greylock coach Erik Tiele said of his squad. “We shook up the line up, and I let the top four players pick a different playing partner for today's match.”
Taconic was led by Jason Field with a 46. Christian Barry and Gavin Maffuccio finished at 47 and 48, respectively.
The Thunder (3-3) goes to Mount Everett on Monday.
Mount Greylock (6-1) hosts Wahconah on Friday.
