Mounties Fifth at Mount Anthony Tournament

BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Jacob Borawski placed second at 175 pounds Saturday to lead the Mount Greylock wrestling team to a fifth-place finish in a tournament at Mount Anthony Union High School.

 

The Patriots, who have won 36 straight Vermont Championships, claimed the top spot on Saturday with 221 points, 2.5 points better than runner-up Springfield Central.

 

The Mounties finished with 100 points, just ahead of sixth place Mount Abraham, Vt., (98.5).

 

Mount Greylock's Tanner Manning claimed third place in the 285-pound weight class.

 

Three Mounties placed fourth at the event: Brian Liang (150), Max Soto (157) and Jayquan Vazquez (190).
