WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Scarlett Foley and Charlotte Towler each won without dropping a game at first and second singles as the Mount Greylock girls tennis team Friday defeated Mohawk Trail, 3-2.

Foley earned her first high school win in her first high school match. The first doubles pair of Maddie Love and Lila Bergeron also made their high school debut and earned a 6-1, 6-1 win at second doubles to clinch the match.

“Third singles and first doubles lost competitive matches, so it was a good season opener for the young Mounties tennis team,” Mount Greylock coach John Jacobbe said.

Mount Greylock travels to face Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter on Monday.
