Mount Greylock Boys Fall in Western Mass Final

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Pioneer Valley Chinese Immersion Charter boys tennis team’s first doubles team won a second-set tie-breaker to give the Dragons a 3-2 win over Mount Greylock in the championship match of the Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament on Tuesday.
 
Tate Carothers at first singles and the No. 2 doubles tandem of Max Wied and Anders Tainter earned points for Mount Greylock.
 
Mount Greylock (14-2) now gets ready for the Division 4 State Tournament.

No. 1 Tate Carothers, MG, def. Lee Ferguson, 7-6(7-3), 6-1.
No. 2 Derek Ye, PVCICS, def. Oscar Heeringa, 6-3, 6-1.
No. 3 Devan Ye, PVCIS, def. Keaton Repetto, 6-0, 6-1.

No. 1 Simon Speek/Jack Herman, PVCICS, def. Walter Love/Nico McWeeny, 6-4, 7-6(7-5).
