Monument Mountain Boys, Girls Dominate Taconic Hills

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Aubrey Blanchard won a pair of events Wednesday to lead the Monument Mountain girls swim team to a 125-44 win over Taconic Hills, N.Y.
 
The Spartans boys, also won 122-31, behind double-winners Colin Thorp and Nick Dillon.
 
Blanchard won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 28.63 seconds and went on to win the 100 freestyle in 1:00.38.
 
Monument Mountain’s girls also got individual wins from Asa Stone in the 200 free, Maddy Fife in the 50 free, Olivia Rubino in the 100 butterfly, Anna Rubino in the 100 back and Ashley Wellenkamp in the 100 breaststroke.
 
In the boys meet, Thorp won the 100 fly (1:08.28) and 100 breaststroke (1:17.38). Dillon won the 200 free (2:09.63) and 100 back (1:02.96). Harry Albert (200 IM), Jack Glantz (50 free), Walter Boyko (100 free) and Sam Cybulski (500 free) also picked up wins for the Spartans.
 
Monument Mountain goes to Bennington, Vt., to swim against Mount Anthony Union on Friday.
