Raifstanger Leads Spartans Past Mount Everett

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Kasen Raifstanger carded a 3-over-par 39 on the front nine at Wyantenuck Tuesday to earn medalist honors and lead the Monument Mountain golf team to a 163-190 win over Mount Everett.

 

Luke Fenig finished strong with birdies on the par-5 eighth and par-4 ninth to finish at 40, one stroke behind his teammate.

 

Luke Naventi also had a birdie, on the par-5 fifth hole, and finished at 41. John Ireland rounded out the scoring with a 44 for the Spartans.

 

Mount Everett was led by Robert Splann with a 46. Mason Kemp (47), Gus Gleason (48) and Brady Carpenter also scored for the Eagles.

 

Mount Everett (0-4) goes to Wahconah on Thursday.

 

Monument Mountain (1-2) is at Pittsfield High on Wednesday.
