Pittsfield Boys, Wahconah Girls Earn Pair of Dual Meet Wins

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Emmanuel Nda swept the 100 and 200 Monday to lead the Pittsfield boys track and field team to a pair of dual meet wins at Williams College.
 
Nda won the 100 in 11.45 seconds and the 200 in 23.63 to help the Generals beat Lenox and Wahconah.
 
He also ran the leadoff leg on Pittsfield’s winning 4-by-100 relay team.
 
Three teams were in action on Monday at Williams, where Wahconah’s girls topped Lenox and Pittsfield behind a pair of wins by Hailey Pickard.
 
Pickard won the high jump, clearing 4 feet, 10 inches, and the shot put with a mark of 27-3.
 
Lenox’s Solia Schmid swept the hurdles, taking the 100 in 18.44 and the 400 in 1:15.95.
 
Pittsfield’s Sarah Aitken won the triple jump with a mark of 30-11, beating the field by four feet, and tied Wahconah’s Haley Crosier for first in the long jump (13-8).
 
Boys double winners included Wahconah’s Jack Pudlo in the 1600 meters (4:57.67) and triple jump (38-11) and Lenox’s Andre Collins in the javelin (145-2) and 800 meters (2:08.24).
