Pittsfield Girls Dominant at Reid Middle School
PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Monument Mountain’s Aria Grossman finished ninth overall to lead the Spartans to a two-point dual meet win over Lee on Wednesday.
The Monument-Lee matchup was the closest contest of the day as the Spartans prevailed, 27-29, at Reid Middle School.
The day belonged to the PIttsfield girls, who posted three dual meet wins as Kellie Harrington (21 minutes, 24.90 seconds), Cami Diehl and Megan Francoeur swept the top three places.
Ahliya Phillips (22:39.32) finished fourth for Taconic, the only non-General in the top eight.
Lee’s Anna Martin cracked the top 10 in 24:38.13. Hoosac Valley was led by Hannah Walsh (25:20.99) in 18th place and Jackie Case in 19th.
In the boys’ races, Pittsfield split, beating Hoosac Valley and Lee while falling to Taconic and Monument Mountain.
Taconic’s Jacob Paris placed first in 17:48.61, ahead of a trio of Monument Mountain Spartans.
Peter Larochelle (18:05.16) was second, followed by teammates Keegan Leach and Diego Salinetti.
The first Pittsfield finisher was Emanual Brown (18:51.08) in sixth. Justin Levesque (18:56.98) led Hoosac Valley in seventh place.
Lee’s Zach Bianco cracked the top 20, finishing 15th in 19:43.36.
