Russo Leads Pittsfield Bowlers to Win in Opener

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- The Pittsfield, Lee and Mount Everett bowling teams last eeek opened the season with 3-0 wins in Berkshire High School Bowling League action at Cove Lanes.
 
Ryan Russo led the reigning state champion Generals with a 210 average in his two games.
 
Russo had the best series (420) and best game of the day with a 236.
 
Lee was led by Emily Holian, who was the top girl in action on Friday with a 197 game and 358 series. Her teammate, Bella Kotek, was right behind her (184-147--331).
 
Mount Everett got a 298 series from Finn Vion.
 
McCann Tech's Michael Oaks had a strong season opener with a 402 series and a 212 high game, each second in the league on Friday.
 
For Taconic, Mitch McCann rolled a 208 game and 389 series. Monument Mountain's Brendan Hunt led his team with a 350 series.
