Pittsfield Holds onto Top Spot in Berkshire County League

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- The Pittsfield Generals and Lee Wildcats Wednesday continued to set the pace in the Berkshire County High School Bowling League.
 
PHS earned a 3-0 win over Taoncic behind Matt Dupuis' 183 game and 363 series.
 
Taconic got a 186 game from Logan Kleiner.
 
Lee downed Mount Everett, 3-0.
 
And once again, it was the Wildcats' girls who dominated, posting the top four games and top four series among the league's girls.
 
Bella Kotek had a 236 game and 421 series that were the top scores for any bowler on Wednesday.
 
Devyn Fillio won the consistency award, rolling games of 182 and 179 that gave her the day's second best series for the girls (361) and fourth best series overall.
 
Mount Everett was led by Mercedes Kosik, who I rolled a 340 series.
 
The day's third varsity match saw McCann Tech down Monument Mountain, 3-0.
 
Michael Oakes led the Hornets with a 212 game and 411 series that were best among the boys on Wednesday.
 
Monument Mountain's Noah Walker rolled a 222 series.
 
The league rolls into Pittsfield on Friday for its second meet of the week.
 
First place-Pittsfield and second-place Lee are set to meet for the second time this season in the regular season finale on Feb. 9 back at Cove Lanes.
 
Varsity standings: 1. Pittsfield, 22-2; 2. Lee, 20-4; 3. McCann Tech, 16-8; 4. Taconic, 9-15; 5. Mount Everett, 4-20; 6. Monument Mountain, 1-23.
