Pittsfield Harriers Host Track Meet as Fund-Raiser

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The Pittsfield High School girls and boys cross country teams will host a Fall Track Meet Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Taconic High School track.

 

Registration will begin at 9 a.m., with running events taking place from 10 and noon. The event is open to runners of all ages and fitness levels and will offer four individual events: the 400-meter, 800-meter, 1-mile, and 2-mile races.

 

Entry fees are $10 for one race or $15 for two races. Participants in 12th grade and under can compete for $5 for one race or $10 for two races.

 

The Fall Track Meet is organized as a fund-raiser to support the PHS girls and boys cross country programs. PHS student-athletes will play an important role in running the event, assisting with timing, the finish line, race organization, and other event responsibilities.

 

The coaches and athletes hope the event will bring together local runners, families, students, and community members for a fun morning of running while supporting the PHS cross country teams.
