Lenox's Digrigolis Take Top Spots in Season's First Alpine Races

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Lenox's Madison and Max Digrigoli were the top racers in Thursday's season opener of the Berkshire County Alpine League at Bousquet Mountain.
 
Madison clocked a time of 33.52 seconds to lead the Millionaires to a first-place finish against Monument Mountain and Wahconah.
 
In the boys race, Max won in 30.92 seconds, but the Spartans won the team competition.
 
Eli Zolan (33.06) and Keegan Leach (33.71) finished second and third overall to led Monument Mountain, which had a combined time of 142.08, more than a second faster than second-place Wahconah (143.73).
 
Wahconah's racers finished in a strong group, taking places five through 10 on the podium. Dominic Scalise led the way with a time of 35.00 for Wahconah.
 
Lenox's girls took three of the top four spots on the night with Molly Knight (36.02) and Gabriella Hall (38.04) taking third and fourth, respectively.
 
Bridget Stephen of Monument Mountain finished just behind Madison Digrigoli in second place with a time of 35.83. The Spartans also finished second in the girls team competition.
 
Wahconah's top finisher in the girls race was Kelly Anderson, who crossed the line in 42.27.
