Lenox Boys, Girls Top Monument Mountain

LENOX, Mass. – Devon Smits and David Jordao pulled out a tough second set to earn a straight-set win at first doubles Friday as the Lenox boys tennis team swept Monument Mountain, 5-0.
 
Smits and Jordao prevailed over the Spartans’ Miles Carpenter and Everett Burns, 6-2, 7-6.
 
The Millionaires took all five matches in straight sets, getting singles wins from Aydan Shove, Edmund Pritchard and Sawyer Levin.
 
In the girls match, Julia Zanin and Caity Giardina each took 6-0, 6-0 wins at second and third singles, respectively, as the Millionaires won, 4-1.
 
Monument Mountain’s Lucy Dohoney earned a 6-1, 6-2 win at first singles.
 
Lenox hosts Pittsfield on Tuesday.
