Lenox Boys, Girls Track Open with Wins

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Ahmet Yildiz and Benjamin Harwood were double-winners Wednesday to lead the Lenox boys track and field team to a 99-34 win over Lenox in the dual meet opener for both teams.

 

Yildiz swept the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Harwood won the 800 and the 3200.

 

Lenox’s girls beat the Hurricanes, 99-20, behind double winners Jane Elliot, Gianna Love and Binxy MacQueen.

 

Elliot won the 200 dash and 400 hurdles. Love took the mile and two-mile runs. MacQueen won the 400 and the shot put.

 

Libby Kurley posted a win for the Hurricanes in the 100.

 

In the boys meet, Hoosac Valley’s Noah Thorne earned a win on the track in the 400. Logan O’Connell won the discus for the Hurricanes.
