Greenfield Baseball Edges Drury in Extra Innings
GREENFIELD, Mass. – Chase Zraunig hit a one-out infield single in the bottom of the eighth to drive in a runner from third base and give the Greenfield baseball team a 2-1 win over Drury on Friday.
Carson Rylander went seven innings on the mound for the Blue Devils, striking out 14 and allowing just one unearned run.
But the Green Wave worked three walks before the Zraunig game-winning hit in the eighth.
Connor Hinkell singled and scored a run in the third inning to give the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead before Greenfield tied it in the bottom of the fourth.
Drury (1-3) hosts Pittsfield on Saturday at noon at Joe Wolfe Field.
