Putnam Baseball Downs McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Putnam baseball team scored five runs in the top of the fifth to take an 11-3 lead and went on to a 12-7 win over McCann Tech on Tuesday.
 
Caleb Rondeau went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs, and Andrew Levesque was 2-for-4 at the plate for the Hornets.
 
Four different pitchers worked for McCann Tech with starter Matt Jette taking the loss, allowing six runs — but just two earned runs — in three innings of work.
 
McCann Tech (4-3) goes to Franklin Tech on Thursday.
