Mount Everett Baseball Comes Back to Top McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Nathaniel Von Ruden went 3-for-4 Friday to lead the Mount Everett baseball team to a 9-6 win over McCann Tech at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
The Eagles scored at least a run in each inning and came back from deficits of 3-1 and 6-4.
 
Ben Shannon went 2-for-5 with a double and a pair of RBIs, and Tyler Candelari drove in two runs.
 
Hunter DeGrenier earned the win on the mound, going 6-⅓ innings and striking out nine. After allowing six runs in the first three innings, he held the Hornets at bay the rest of the way.
 
Heyden Cutlip threw two thirds of an inning of no-hit relief to close the game out.
 
Austin Buda drove in three runs for McCann Tech, which threw Aaron Livsey and Josh Livsey.
 
The Hornets (3-3) host Lee on Monday.
 
Mount Everett (5-3) hosts Hoosac Valley on Monday.
