VonRuden Leads Eagles Past McCann Tech

SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Nathaniel VonRuden went 3-for-3 with a double and scored three times on Tuesday to lead the Mount Everett baseball team to a 10-5 win over McCann Tech.
 
Ben Shannon tripled, and Tyler Candelari went 2-for-2 with a pair of runs batted in.
 
Hunter DeGrenier earned the win on the mound, allowing three earned runs in 6-⅓ innings.
 
Shannon finished up, allowing one unearned run in two-thirds of an inning.
 
Collin Booth, Aaron Livsey and Jacob Howland split time on the mound for the Hornets.
 
Owen Gagne went 1-for-2 with a pair of walks, and Lucas Rylander singled and drove in a pair of runs in a nine-hit McCann Tech attack.
 
The Hornets (8-5) host Lenox on Wednesday.
 
Mount Everett (9-5) goes to Lenox on Thursday.
