SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Connor Hinkell went 3-for-4 with a double Saturday to lead the Drury baseball team to a 10-9, nine-innng win over Mount Everett.

Logan Crockwell tripled, and Hunter Marceau doubled in a nine-hit Drury attack.

"The first four innings, it was a pitchers' duel between [Nick] Lescarbeau and [Matt} Lowe," Mount Everett coach Dan Lanoue said. "Then the bats woke up for both teams."

Drury scored two in the top of the fifth to go ahead, 4-0, but the Eagles responded with one in the bottom of the inning and three in the sixth to tie it.

Each team scored three in the seventh and two in the eighth.

After the Blue Devils went ahead in the top of the ninth, Crockwell pitched a scoreless inning to earn the win on the mound.

"We had chances to win it in the seventh and eighth with runners in scoring position, but we could not get that two-out hit," Lanoue said. "We made too many errors that led to some unearned runs, while Drury played a great game in the field."

Michael Devoti went 3-for-4 at the plate for the Eagles. Sean Warren was 3-for-5, and Nathaniel von Ruden hits a double.

Mount Everett (5-2) goes to Hoosac Valley on Monday.

Drury (7-2) hosts Lenox on Monday.
