Wahconah Edges Easthampton
DALTON, Mass. – Braedyn Melle drove in a pair of runs in a three-run second inning Monday to lead the Wahconah baseball team to a 4-2 win over Easthampton.
Owen Alfonso doubled in a run and scored in the rally, which gave Wahconah a 3-0 lead that it never relinquished.
Melle and Charlie Wendell each went 2-for-3 with a double in a six-hit Wahconah attack.
Wendell also earned the win on the mound, striking out five in five innings of work. Ethan Orsini struck out a pair in two innings of relief.
Wahconah (3-3) goes to Greenfield on Friday.
