LENOX, Mass. -- When Tommy Nowlan is on the mound, chances are the Mount Greylock baseball team has a great chance to win.

The senior captain pitched the Mounties to another victory on Thursday, allowing just two hits and one walk in a complete-game effort to carry his team to a 2-1 win at Lenox. Nowlan struck out five batters and allowed just a sacrifice fly to Andrew Bravo in the bottom of the first inning for the Millionaires' only run of the game. Nowlan has now pitched Greylock (6-7) to five out of the six victories the team has this season, improving his personal record to 5-2 in the process.

Lenox starter Chris DeFarlo also had a good outing, holding the Mounties to just five hits and one earned run in a complete-game performance. He lost the game, however, in the top of the second frame when Greylock scored two runs on an error and an RBI single by freshman Nick DiSanti, who led the Mounties offense with two hits on the day.

Greylock next hosts Lee for an 11 a.m. game on Saturday.
