Mount Greylock Tops Spartans on Senior Day

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Derek Paris went 1-for-2 with a home run and three walks Monday to lead the Mount Greylock baseball team to a 9-2 win over Monument Mountain.
 
The Mounties got just seven hits, but in addition to Paris' homer, they got a triple from Jack Cangelosi and doubles from Tej Patel, Chase Doyle and Jackson Shelsy.
 
Cangelosi also earned the win on the mound, striking out seven and walking just one.
 
The Spartans used three different pitchers. Marco Buffoni, Owen Wade and Garrett Curtin combined to strike out 10.
 
Jayder Raifstanger led Monument Mountain's offense, going 2-for-4.
 
The Spartans (10-3) host Ludlow on Wednesday.
 
Mount Greylock (13-2) goes to Wahconah on Wednesday.
