GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. – Dominic Calautti hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh, but Monument Mountain’s rally came up just short in a 3-2 loss to Ware on Sunday afternoon.

Jack Bissaillon struck out 12, walked two and allowed no earned runs to be the hard-luck loser for the Spartans, who gave up two in the top of the sixth.

Two innings later, Bissaillon drew a leadoff walk to get things started for Monument Mountain.

With one out, Calautti homered to left field to make it a one-run game.

But Brady Guimond got a groundout to short and a called third strike for the final two outs to complete a complete-game, three-hit victory for Ware.

Monument Mountain (10-4) hosts Wahconah on Monday.
